Manuscript Confidentiality

Your manuscript remains your work.

Trust should be designed into the publishing workflow, not added as a paragraph after someone uploads a book.

No full manuscript for the free check

The free Book Health Check is designed to work without a full manuscript. Authors can provide a cover, description, retailer link if available and an optional short excerpt.

No ownership transfer by submission

Sending a manuscript, excerpt or creative asset for evaluation does not transfer ownership to Hatti Author Studio.

Minimum necessary access

Hatti's intended workflow is to request only the material needed for the current stage of work. Authors should avoid sending unrelated confidential information.

Publishing accounts stay with the author

Hatti does not require an author's Amazon/KDP password to prepare files, metadata, recommendations or publishing guidance.

Project files and third-party tools

Where files are processed through external tools, storage providers or AI-assisted workflows, the project scope should identify material handling expectations. The live policy must be updated as the final production toolchain is formalized.

No training-use promise until implemented

Hatti should not publicly promise that submitted client material is never used for model training until every tool in the production chain has been verified and configured to support that promise. Client-facing statements will be limited to what the actual tool stack can support.

Questions before sharing

If a manuscript is unusually sensitive, contact hello@hattiauthorstudio.com before sending the file so an appropriate transfer method can be agreed.
